Tourism Information Centers

Staffed Tourism Information Centers (TIC) are located at several travel plazas and interchanges along the Thruway system. At these centers, travelers may obtain literature about destinations and attractions in New York State and directional assistance.
Some TICs operate year round and others are seasonal. All TICs located within the Thruway Travel Plazas operate from May through October, at a minimum.
Highway "?" signs with additional "Tourist Info" panels are posted along the Thruway directing motorists to TICs at Travel Plazas, and centers that are open 7 days a week, 8 hours per day at interchanges or within one mile of a Thruway interchange.
For I Love NY travel information, Thruway Travel Plaza customers using a public payphone may obtain tourism information by dialing #NY or (800) CALL-NYS. This service is available Monday - Friday (except holidays) from 8:30am - 4:45pm.
